Talking Buckley on C-SPAN2 Today

This afternoon at 3:05 p.m. Eastern, C-SPAN2 will be airing an episode of BookTV entitled “Buckley,” discussing the life and work of WFB. The program is hosted by Carl T. Bogus, author of Buckley: William F. Buckley Jr. and the Rise of American Conservatism. C-SPAN describes the program:

Carl Bogus talked about the personal and professional life of political commentator, William F. Buckley, Jr. (1925-2008). Mr. Buckley was the founder of the conservative periodical, The National Review, author of numerous books, including, God and Man at Yale, and the host of the television program, “Firing Line.” The author examined Mr. Buckley’s efforts to reshape the conservative movement in the 1960s and his lasting impact on conservative leaders, such as Ronald Reagan, who cited theNational Review as an influence on his political thinking. Professor Bogus responded to questions from members of the audience speaks at Books &Books in Bal Harbour Shops. 

Last year on NRO, Bogus wrote about his experience as a liberal reading Buckley’s works.
