Ryan vs. Clinton

Text

There is a quick, decisive way to prick the balloon of Bill last night. He challenged Paul Ryan, and now Paul should challenge Clinton in turn, on Paul’s turf, to defend that argument over the $716 million. Paul and the campaign should issue a statement along these lines:

“There he goes again, indeed”: Bill Clinton gave us one of his vintage performances, with a higher density of bravado than truth. Among the many spins of the evening, he ridiculed our showing that the President has raided Medicare of $716 billion to shift to Obamacare. Once again, I’m afraid, the former President just doesn’t know what he’s talking about.  I challenge to meet me to debate that very point.”
