Obama, Romney Close to Tied Nationally
A new AP/GfK poll shows that among likely voters, 47 percent support President Obama, while 46 percent support Mitt Romney. The partisan breakdown is unusually close to equal among likely voters, with Democrats only having a 1-point advantage: 31 percent Democrat, 30 percent Republican, and 30 percent independent.
A USA Today/Gallup poll has Obama at 48 percent and Romney at 46 percent among voters in swing states.

COLORADO: Obama 48 – Romney 47, compared to Romney 50 – 45 August 8
VIRGINIA: Obama 50 – Romney 46, compared to Obama 49 – 45 percent August 8
WISCONSIN: Obama 51 – Romney 45, compared to Obama 49 – 47 percent August 23
UPDATE: Rasmussen shows Romney 3 points ahead in New Hampshire, 48 percent to 45 percent.
