Katrina, that clip you provided below is very interesting not only because of the president’s assertion that you can’t change Washington from the inside (an odd premise for someone running for reelection; should we be happy with Washington as it is then?) but also his statement that his biggest failure in the first term was the failure to pass comprehensive immigration reform. That’s his biggest regret after these four years? Not the unemployment rate or the poverty rate? Not anemic growth or our credit downgrade? Not failing to stop Iran’s march toward nuclear weapons? And if that’s what he thought was most important then why didn’t he actually try to pass comprehensive immigration reform?
