Gallup, which showed the race tightening and reaching a tie after the convention bounce President Obama received, is now showing a widening gap with Obama at 50 percent and Mitt Romney at 44 percent. The day before, Romney and Obama were only three points apart (48 percent and 45 percent), so it may just be a blip, but it’s certainly worth keeping an eye on going forward.
