Swing State Polls Show Tight Race

Text

Today’s polls:

Florida (NBC/WSJ/Marist) Obama 48 percent Romney 47 percent. Sample: 37 percent Democrat, 33 percent Republican, and 29 percent independent.

Ohio (NBC/WSJ/Marist) Obama 51 percent Romney 45 percent. Sample: 40 percent Democrat, 29 percent Republican, and 29 percent independent. (In 2008, Dems had an 8-point advantage in exit polls. In 2004, Republicans had a 5-point advantage, and in 2010, Republicans had a 1-point advantage. So 11 point Democratic advantage is very unlikely to occur on Election Day.)

Virginia (NBC/WSJ/Marist) Romney 48 percent Obama 47 percent. Sample: 30 percent Democrat, 28 percent Republican, and 40 percent independent.

Virginia (NYT/CBS/Quinnipiac) Obama 51 percent Romney 46 percent. Sample (weighted): 31 percent Democrat, 28 percent Republican, 35 percent independent.

Colorado (NYT/CBS/Quinnipac) Romney 48 percent Obama 47 percent. Sample (weighted): 29 percent Republican, 27 percent Democrat, and 39 percent independent.

Wisconsin (NYT/CBS/Quinnipiac) Obama 50 percent Romney 47 percent. Sample (weighted); 31 percent Democrat, 27 percent Republican, and 37 percent independent.
