Today on Uncommon Knowledge, Hoover fellow Shelby Steele and the Weekly Standard’s Bill Kristol pan President Obama’s debate performance and question the wisdom of his negative campaign strategy.
“He seems to have lost his voice, and lost his confidence to a degree, and seemed tired. And seemed as though he obviously wasn’t sure he wanted to be there. But he also seemed as though maybe he, he didn’t really, on some deep level, want to be the President anymore. He has not done well. He has no idea about what to do in the future or where he’s going to take the country that’s different and compelling. So he’s, you know, he’s shooting but he doesn’t have any bullets.”
