NPR Poll: Romney Leads By A Point

Text

In a new NPR poll, Mitt Romney is at 48 percent, just barely ahead of President Obama, who is at 47 percent. Among voters in battleground states, Obama is at 50 percent and Romney is at 46 percent.

The partisan breakdown for the national poll is 44 percent Democrat and 41 percent Republican. For the battleground poll (a smaller sample of 466 voters), respondents were 48 percent Democrat and 40 percent Republican.

UPDATE: By the way, it’s also interesting to note that among independents, Romney leads by twelve points, 51 percent to Obama’s 39 percent.
