The 1938 Great New England Hurricane

by Charles C. W. Cooke

This startling Works Project Administration video of the 1938 New England Hurricane, which raged at “almost 200mph,” killed up to 800 people, and damaged 57,000 homes,  should give those who have absurdly sought to blame Sandy on “climate change” some pause for thought. (Hat tip to Anthony Watts.)

As New England hurricanes go, it was only outdone by the Great Colonial Hurricane in 1635 — a big year for carbon emissions.
