President Obama has asked Vice President Biden to lead a task force that will examine gun-control and other measures to curb gun violence in the wake of the massacre in Newtown, Conn. The president will announce the details of his administration’s plan for gun-control policy in a press briefing this afternoon.
There’s one person, though, whose guns the president may have a tough time getting his hands on: Joe Biden’s. On the campaign trail in 2008, Biden assured gun owners, “I guarantee ya, Barack Obama ain’t takin’ my shotgun, so don’t buy that malarky. . . I got two, and if he [Obama] tries to fool with my Beretta, he’s got a problem!”
