Do Demographics Doom the Right?

by Jack Fowler

If you think you know the answer, think again. In fact, why not hear about it directly at the National Review Institute’s “Future of Conservatism” summit in Washington, January 25-27, at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. If you haven’t registered yet, do so at

Handling the demographics question (that Saturday afternoon) will be Michael Barone, Ralph Reed, Heather Higgins, Kellyanne Conway, and Cleta Mitchell. Now that’s a panel! And it’s sandwiched between what will be a phenomenal immigration debate (Hugh Hewitt versus Mark Krikorian, with Jim Geraghty doing referee duties) and panels on the future of the Constitution (Charles Kesler, Michael Mukasey, Ed Whelan, and Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli) and what’s happening stateside for the movement (John Fund, Darcy Olsen, John Hood, and Travis Brown). Wow. And those are just part of the fantastic conference happenings in store for you.

BTW, here’s a summit update or two: Congressman Tom Cotton will kick off the shebang on Friday (the freshman conservative will be interviewed by Jay Nordlinger, who wrote a number of excellent campaign pieces on the Arkansas sensation). And Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell has agreed to get the ball rolling on Sunday with a breakfast talk.

We’ll be posting the complete agenda later, but why not get a jump on things by signing up now. Get off the mat, shake off the cobwebs, and get thee to the Summit!
