Dem Sen: Newtown ‘Kids Would Be Alive Today’ if We’d Had Assault-Weapons Ban

Democrats earlier today announced in a press conference that Senator Dianne Feinstein will introduce an assault-weapons ban on the Senate floor as House members Carolyn McCarthy and Ed Perlmutter do so in the House. Connecticut senator Chris Murphy took the podium, telling the audience, “Kids would be alive today in Newtown, Connecticut if the law that we’re proposing today were in place on December 14th of last year. It’s as simple as that.”
