Vatican sources are telling Catholic News Agency that the Pope will issue a Motu Proprio later today allowing for a speeded-up conclave to elect his successor. Under a strict interpretation of the current rules, the conclave can’t begin before March 15. But under the amendment expected later today, the voting can begin by March 9 to 11.
