Three museum patrons are suing the Metropolitan Museum of Art because their reading skills are sub-par.
Filip Saska and Tomas Nadrchal of the Czech Republic, and Stephen Michelman, from New York, are claiming the Met intentionally uses misleading signs and fraudulent marketing to trick museum goers to pay an entrance fee that’s actually a recommended donation.
What is the Met’s nefarious plot? The word “recommended” on its admission sign is too small for these visitors. Only in litigious America is an accidental donation to one of the world’s greatest art collections grounds for a multimillion dollar class-action lawsuit.
The one and only.
