Costa on Kudlow Report: Senate Dems ‘Are Not Aiming for Balance’ in Latest Budget

NR’s Washington editor, Robert Costa, warned that the Senate Democrats’ upcoming budget will be a “tax-and-spend budget” on CNBC last night. Costa reported that budget committee chairwoman Patty Murray’s (D., Wash.) proposal would include more than $1 trillion in tax hikes and additional stimulus spending, and that it was “not aiming for balance.” He doesn’t expect this budget to ever become law, however, and said that it’s mainly an exercise in posturing.
