What the Boston Bombs Looked Like


Via Boston’s WBZ, here are two images circulated tonight of the devices detonated yesterday on Boylston Street in Boston, killing three and injuring more than a hundred:

The bombs were apparently built out of pressure cookers, a not uncommon type of improvised bomb for terrorists. Dan Foster wrote for the homepage today about who uses such bombs, how they work, and what it might tell us about the person or persons who committed yesterday’s act.
