Jolly Good Day for Nigel Farage and UKIP

The wishy washy Tories got their noses bloodied but good last night in British local elections, courtesy of the knuckles of UKIP, which had a spectacular showing. A few days back, a Conservative Party leader was publicly trashing UKIP as a bunch of clowns. Yesterday the voters decided David Cameron was going to wear the rubber nose.

Some analyses: The Telegraph’s Tim Stanley explains the UKIP Revolution, James Delinpole says we are “Living in the age of Farage,” and James Kirkup uncovers an (imaginary) Conservative apology to UKIP’s “swivel-eyed nut-jobs.”
