Christie’s Debut TV Spot

I saw this last night on cable (I was watching something highly educational, certainly not a marathon of Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives.)

Anyway, even though I was highly annoyed at Governor Christie’s response to the Sandy relief bill, I have to admit this is one of the best political ads I’ve seen in a long, long time. It packs a lot of information into 1:02 (and almost all of it is true!) while also getting in some pretty strong subliminal signaling of things the ad doesn’t want to just come right out and say (e.g. the backhoes at the Jersey shore and Christie hugging a non-Obama black Democrat).  The slogan at the end is a doozy, too.
