Obama: ‘Not a Global War on Terror’

Don’t call it a “global war on terror” any longer, President Obama said in his national-security address today. He encouraged the U.S. to “define our effort . . . as a series of persistent efforts to dismantle specific networks of violent extremists that threaten America.”

He proceeded to discuss American efforts in Pakistan, Yemen, and elsewhere.
