John McCormack of the Weekly Standard asked House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi what the moral difference is between the acts that Kermit Gosnell committed and the late-term abortions a Republican bill is seeking to ban. She never answered the question.
Instead, she said that everyone condemned Gosnell, which was not at issue. She said that the bill would ban all abortions, which is false. And she took offense at the question on the ground that she is a mother and “a practicing and faithful Catholic.” McCormack, note, did not bring religion into the question. He asked her to justify her position on a question of public policy. She chose not to try.
