We are joined this week by the always perspicacious Ramesh Ponnuru. In addition to his thoughts about the NSA and the balance between privacy and security, he fills us in on the somewhat surprising findings of the College Republican poll of young voters. Though significant numbers are pro-same sex marriage (many vehemently so), their views on other questions are not as aligned with the Democratic Party. Fifty-one percent, for example, are pro-life.
Jay and I then consider Turkey and wonder if freedom is retreating around the world. We offer a tribute to Michelle Bachmann (but bid her farewell without tears), and we touch on energy and climate change. Neither a denier nor a zealot be!
