Rubio: ‘95, 96 Percent’ of Immigration Bill Is ‘Perfect’

by Andrew Johnson

Despite speculation that he was wavering on the bill, Marco Rubio now says that that the current immigration reform bill is nearly “perfect.”

“I think 95, 96 percent of the bill is in perfect shape and ready to go,” Rubio told This Week, “but there are elements that need to be improved.” He said border-security measures in particular need to be addressed before moving forward.

When asked if he would vote for the bill as it currently stands, Rubio dodged the question, saying, “I really don’t want to get involved in these hypotheticals and ultimatums.”
