Our age in a nutshell: The Washington Post reports that Britain’s Girl Guides (the U.K.’s version of Girl Scouts) is changing its century-old oath. Instead of pledging to “love God and serve the King/Queen,” come September members will pledge to “be true to myself and develop my beliefs.”
