Charles Krauthammer attacked the D.C. Council’s attempt to “sabotage” Walmart’s development plans in the city on Special Report Wednesday evening.

“It is clearly a bill written entirely to penalize Walmart,” Krauthammer explained, adding that the “living wage” requirement is “almost like a bill of attainder” against the company.

Walmart’s plans to open a handful of stores in the poorer areas of D.C. have been carried out “with extreme goodwill,” he remarked, and yet the employer is “being driven out by reactionary liberals” using “unconstitutional” legislation.
