Noonan: Involving DoJ Will Make Zimmerman Case More Political

by Andrew Johnson

The Wall Street Journal’s Peggy Noonan worries that if the Department of Justice decides to file charges against George Zimmerman after yesterday’s acquittal, “it will be more political.” The NAACP and other groups are pushing the DoJ to open a civil-rights case against Zimmerman.

“It seems to me in our own awkward American way, we attempted to get something like justice, came up with a decision,” she said on Face the Nation. “I think probably to go beyond that will seem a highly political choice as opposed to a choice in pursuit of justice.”
