Left-leaning law professor Alan Dershowitz wants Florida prosecutor Angela Corey disbarred. He called for her to be disbarred before the jury’s verdict over the weekend, and expanded on his stance on Fox News afterwards.

“There ought to be a Justice Department investigation, but it ought to be focused on prosecutor Corey in this case,” Dershowitz said. “She really violated civil rights in this case.”

The Harvard professor blasted Corey for her failure to provide the photographs of Zimmerman’s wounds in her affidavit, calling the mistake “if not perjurious​, then completely misleading.”

Dershowitz said Corey’s conduct during the trial “bordered on criminal” and that the prosecutor clearly realized she had overcharged Zimmerman and, as a result, sought lower charges including child abuse. “She was among the most irresponsible prosecutors I’ve seen in 50 years of litigating cases,” Dershowitz declared. “Rarely have I seen one as bad as this prosecutor Corey.”
