Wyoming’s junior senator, John Barrasso, said Liz Cheney has a promising future in the state’s politics, but should hold off from challenging the incumbent senior senator Mike Enzi.

“I think Liz is terrific and has a future that is very, very bright,” Barrasso said on MSNBC this morning, emphasizing his respect for the Cheney family as a whole. “I just think this is the wrong race at the wrong time.”

Barrasso made it clear that he will support Enzi in the primary.
