McCaul: Threats ‘Most Specific and Credible’ Since 9/11

by Andrew Johnson

House Homeland Security Committee chairman Michael McCaul echoed sentiments expressed by Senator Saxby Chambliss this morning about the threat that caused the United States to close embassies across the Middle East. “I must say that this is probably one of the most specific and credible threats I’ve seen since 9/11,” the Texas Republican said on Face the Nation.

McCaul praised the decision as “a very smart call,” particularly “in light of what happened in Benghazi” last year “when warnings were not heeded.”
