Goodlatte: ‘Good Possibilities’ for Reforming Immigration

Representative Bob Goodlatte (R., Va.) said Sunday that he thinks there are “good possibilities” for reforming the country’s immigration system.

However, Goodlatte still cautioned on Face the Nation that enforcement must come first to ensure that there won’t be further illegal immigration.

“Well, first, I think you have to make sure that there’s not going to be another wave of illegal immigration,” Goodlatte said. “That was the big criticism of the 1986 [Immigration Reform and Control Act].”
