National Review seeks a multi-tasking individual for our Washington, D.C., Bureau, to serve as the office manager, and also to fulfill various editorial functions. The position is located in our Capitol Hill office, with firm hours of Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and occasional extra hours. There are standard health and vacation benefits. Approximately 30 percent of the job will be administrative (including reception and phone duties, dealing with landlord, communication providers, supply-ordering, mail, etc.), with the balance being editorial. Some of that will be assisting our Washington reporters and staff with their projects, with additional functions to be determined based on editorial talents. We are particularly interested in someone who has copy-editing skills, and possibly social-media experience. There may be some writing for NRO (based on capabilities).
This is an excellent starting position, situated in a vibrant office. If you are up for the challenge, if you want to be part of the NR Washington team, then apply. The position is available immediately. Recent college graduates are preferred. Please send a cover letter, resume, and salary requirement to Kate at [email protected].
