Speaker John Boehner will be able to bring a united front to negotiate with President Obama if the president can offer the speaker just one concession to please his caucus, George Will said yesterday.
“[Obama] will find that he can negotiate with Boehner because Boehner will have enough [of a] united caucus if he gets anything at all in negotiations – Keystone pipeline, medical-device tax, anything,” Will said on Fox News Sunday’s extended online segment.
“These are 80–20 issues in the country. Eighty percent favor them, 20 percent don’t. This is easy to do when the will is there at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue,” he said.
