Obama Apologizes for Washington’s Putting Americans through Repeated Crises

by Andrew Johnson

President Obama told Americans he was sorry that Washington routinely puts the rest of the country through crises such as the government shutdown and the debt-ceiling negotiations.

“I know the American people are tired — I apologize that you have to go through this stuff every three months it seems like,” the president said at a press conference on Tuesday afternoon. “Lord knows I’m tired of it.”
