Corker: ‘The Last 24 Hours Have Not Been Good’

Progress has ground to a halt in negotiations to reopen the government, Senator Bob Corker (R., Tenn.) said this morning.

Appearing on Fox News Sunday, Corker told host Chris Wallace that the weekend had seen Senate Democrats pulling back in negotiations at the request of the White House and looking for a way to eliminate the sequester. As a result, the status quo was still in place.

“The last 24 hours have not been good,” Corker said.
