Hannity Pays Salary of Obamacare Operator Fired for Talking on His Radio Show
On Monday, Sean Hannity called the Obamacare 1-800 number and spoke with a woman named Earline Davis who he questioned about the failing Obamacare exchange website. After asking her if, for example, anybody she has spoken to really likes the website (the answer was “no”), he later discovered that she had been fired from her job after the phone call.
Admitting that he felt “terrible,” Hannity had Davis on his Fox News show last night where he pledged to compensate her to the tune of one year’s salary at her old phone operator job. In the segment, Davis described how she was brought to the Human Resources department and fired though she was never told she could not answer questions on a radio show. The “head ladies” told her, “We can’t have that type of stuff at the job and we have to release you.”
Hannity also told Davis that she “answered every question” and was “kind, patient and helpful.” Many people who heard that Davis was fired e-mailed (via Sean Hannity’s website) to offer Davis a job or help her out.
