Pfeiffer’s Caveat

White House senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer on Sunday modified the president’s now-infamous promise that “if you like your health care plan, you you can keep your plan,” telling ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, “If you had a plan before the Affordable Care Act passed that hasn’t been changed or canceled, you can keep it.”

While Pfeiffer’s statement, unlike the president’s, certainly reflects the changes wrought by the law, it doesn’t quite have the same ring to it.
