Carville: Obama Should ‘Take a Toke’ on a Crack Pipe

by Alec Torres

Democratic strategist James Carville gave the president a bit of advice to stop his dropping poll numbers: “I think the best thing he can do is take a toke on the mayor of Toronto’s crack pipe, because his numbers are about 48,” he said Monday morning on MSNBC’s Morning Joe.

President Obama’s popularity has been declining over recent weeks, with a majority of Americans disapproving of his handling of the economy, immigration, health care, and foreign policy, according to the Pew Research poll cited on Morning Joe.

Two weeks ago, Toronto mayor Rob Ford admitted that he had smoked crack cocaine during one of his “drunken stupors.” Despite his illicit activity, Ford does not plan to step down and his poll numbers actually increased after news of his crack use was confirmed.
