Politico’s Tal Kopan has a good piece about the mockery of Obamacare emanating out of the entertainment industry, from the late-night comics to Carrie Underwood and South Park. This is an ironic turn of events. It was only a few months ago that Obama was inviting celebrities to the White House to enlist them in the effort to tout Obamacare. Now, it is mockery from the entertainment elite that presents one of his biggest challenges. Even if the administration manages to fix the website mess — a dubious proposition — this larger sense, bolstered by the spate of jokes and parodies, that Obamacare is like the DMV will not depart the national consciousness for a long time, if ever.
