Delaware has tripled its private-plan Obamacare enrollments, but that means it’s still at only 1.2 percent of the state’s enrollment goal.
Delaware currently has 431 residents enrolled in the state’s health-care exchange, up from the the 136 enrollments it had last month. Delaware officials had predicted that up to 35,000 would sign up during the open-enrollment period. Current enrollment is less than one-half of one percent of the state’s estimated 90,000 uninsured.
Last month, officials said that roughly 12,000 citizens of the Diamond State have been notified that their insurance policies will be canceled.
