In Search of Polar Bears

A quick request for help, directed at our readers and beyond: I am hoping to go and see some polar bears for a National Review story, and I’m looking for a polar-bear expert (is there such a thing?) to point me in the right direction, to help me know what to look for, and, if possible, to take me out. I’m aware that there are different subpopulations of polar bear (19, I think), and also different places in North America in which to see them, but outside of that I’m pretty much a young cub. Any starting tips would be most welcome:
