Dem. Rep.: Not Enough Millenials Signing Up for Obamacare to ‘Work as It Was Intended’
One Democratic representative is warning that if more young people don’t enroll in Obamacare the health-care law will become unsustainable.
Virginia congressman Jim Moran told a local radio station on Monday, “I don’t think we’re going to get enough young people signing up to make this bill work as it was intended to financially.”
Moran, who announced earlier this month he would not seek reelection in 2014, seemed to throw up his hands: “I just don’t know how we’re going to do it, frankly,” he said. “If we had a solution I’d be telling the president right now.” Just 27 percent of Obamacare enrollees in Virginia last month were young people.
