Clinton: Benghazi Is My Biggest Regret

The “terrible tragedy” of the 2012 Benghazi attack that resulted in the death of four Americans is the “biggest regret” of her tenure at the Department of State, Hillary Clinton said on Monday. The former secretary of state and potential 2016 hopeful has received criticism for the level of diplomatic security in Libya and her response to the attack, as well as the administration’s misleading explanation afterwards.

“You make these choices based on imperfect information,” she explained at National Automobile Dealers Association meeting, when asked whether she would have any “do-overs” as she looks back at her time as a diplomat. “You make them to the best of your ability, but that doesn’t mean there’s not going to be unforeseen consequences, unpredictable twists and turns.”
