McConnell: Harry Reid’s Comments ‘Unacceptable,’ ‘Nonsense’

by Andrew Johnson

Mitch McConnell is firing back at Harry Reid’s “astonishing behavior” for claiming that stories about the negative impact of Obamacare are “untrue.” Holding a letter from one of his constituents saying that she had lost access to her doctor, the Senate minority leader asked if Reid thought she was a liar.

“No amount of Harry Reid calling everybody a liar changes the facts,” McConnell said on Fox News on Wednesday. “Why in the world would people be calling us with these stories if they were not true?”

Ultimately, Reid’s “certainly unacceptable rhetoric” and “nonsense” is a sign of Democrats’ desperation on the issue of Obamacare ahead of the 2014 midterms.
