WATCH: Earthquake Drives L.A. News Anchors under Desk
KTLA anchorfolks in Los Angeles hit the floor after a magnitude 4.4 earthquake shook the City of Angels early Monday morning.
KTLA’s Chris Schauble and Megan Henderson showed pretty good earthquake preparedness by ducking under the anchor desk at the station’s headquarters on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. A street reporter in downtown L.A., a few miles away, reported that the St. Patrick’s Day quake reached downtown a few seconds later. The U.S. Geological Survey reports that the quake’s epicenter was in Westridge Canyonback Wilderness Park, about a mile and a half west of the 405 and four miles north of Santa Monica.
