The Obama administration’s announcement that it would extend the enrollment period for Obamacare beyond March 31 has resulted in “another deadline made meaningless,” according to John Boehner. The House speaker was especially skeptical on allowing users to “self-attest” that they needed the extension.
“He hasn’t put enough loopholes into the law already . . . the administration is now resorting to an honor system to enforce it,” Boehner said at his weekly press briefing. “What the hell is this? A joke?”
“This is part of a long-term pattern of this administration manipulating the laws for its own convenience,” he continued. “It’s not hard to understand why the American people question this administration’s commitment to the rule of law.”
