What a terrible news story from Kansas, where three were killed outside a Jewish community center and another outside a Jewish senior living center, called Village Shalom. The gunman seems to have been clearly motivated by anti-Semitism – and known for this — and clearly deeply disturbed. We’re reminded yet again of the need to better care for the mentally ill and the imperative to treat fellow human beings with dignity – and convince others to do so by compellingly doing so.
Or love, love, love, as they say. Which is what I tried to say elsewhere — in my syndicated column this week.
As Jews mark Passover and Christians observe Holy Week, I hope we pray for one another and for all who suffer.
