Carson Says He Was Asked to Apologize to Obama Following National Prayer Breakfast
Ben Carson received a call from National Prayer Breakfast organizers minutes after his speech last year, asking him to apologize to President Obama, he says in his new book.
Carson told the prayer breakfast organizers that he didn’t think the president was offended, and that he “didn’t think that such a call was warranted.”
The president “did not appear to be hostile or angry,” Carson writes in his new book One Nation.
At the conclusion of the breakfast, Obama approached Carson and “came to shake my hand and thank me for my participation,” he said.
