Pelosi Dismisses Latest Benghazi E-mails: ‘Why Aren’t We Talking about Something Else?’

by Andrew Johnson

Nancy Pelosi dismissed the latest e-mail revelations about the Obama administration’s approach to the September 11, 2012, attacks in Benghazi as “diversion, subterfuge.”

“Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi — why aren’t we talking about something else?” the exasperated House minority leader said at her weekly press briefing on Thursday.

After initially telling reporters she hadn’t seen the latest reports about the e-mails, Pelosi said “what she’s read” about the e-mails is “very consistent with what was put out there before.” “I don’t think there’s anything new there,” she said.
