Days before his latest fight, boxer Floyd Mayweather revealed that he and his fiancée, Shantel Jackson, ended their engagement last month after he learned that she had aborted their twins. Mayweather took to social media to post a picture of the couple’s sonogram and condemned the abortion:
“The real reason me and Shantel Christine Jackson broke up was because she got a abortion, and I’m totally against killing babies. She killed our twin babies.”
Mayweather has since deleted the post.
USA Today reports that Mayweather’s “life is in a state of disarray” since the break-up, which is proving to be a distraction ahead of his $32 million pay-per-view fight against WBA welterweight champion Marcos Maidana.
Jackson fired back at Mayweather on her Instagram account, calling his post ”childish” and predicting it will result in him not becoming an owner of the Los Angeles Clippers, which Mayweather has expressed interest in buying.
