Ronan Farrow may be struggling to attract viewers on his MSNBC show, particularly among the coveted 25-54 demographic, but he was among the few journalists to score an invite to Monday evening’s Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala. There, he mingled among his fan base: Hollywood celebrities and aging A-listers, from Vogue editor Anna Wintour, who issues the dress code, to Estee Lauder heir and gala chairwoman Aerin Lauder.
Farrow spends a lot of time on his show “calling people to action” and shedding light on (supposedly) underreported subjects, but his real skill is sucking up to the rich and famous. His 250,000 Twitter followers got the following observations on Monday night:
This photograph was captioned, “My sweats were in the dry cleaning but this was okay too I guess.”
