Ben Sasse won the GOP Senate nomination in Nebraska, and it wasn’t even close. Here’s the Omaha World-Herald story:
Ben Sasse, a political newcomer with national Tea Party backing, cruised to an easy victory Tuesday in Nebraska’s GOP primary for the U.S. Senate.
Sasse, president of Midland University in Fremont, led a five-way race with 48 percent of the vote.
His closest competitors were Pinnacle Bank Chairman Sid Dinsdale, who was polling with 23 percent of the vote, and former Nebraska State Treasurer Shane Osborn, who had 22 percent.
